No Frills Tandem Weekend

Fri, Sat, Sun June 1, 2, & 3, 2012

The 16th No Frills Tandem Weekend, Seville, OH. has 3 great Tandem Rides. You can ride just one day, two days, or all three days. The ride on Fri. May 20th is 20 miles of gently rolling terrain. We will stop at a local restaurant after the ride. On Sat. May 21st there are two choices, 38 or 56 miles. This is a great ride that goes through beautiful Overton Valley. We will stop at a restaurant 2/3 through the ride. On Sun. May 22nd there are three choices, 20, 32 or 47 miles. The ride goes through historic Rouges Hollow and is also a very good tandem route. We will stop in Canal Fulton half way though the ride to have a late breakfast. Cost: $2 per tandem team will cover all 3 rides. Mark and Joyce Lange will be ride directors again this year.

ABC Absolutely Beautiful Country Ride

The 210+ members of the Akron Bicycle Club invite you to enjoy beautiful northeast Ohio as you ride our thirty-fourth annual Absolutely Beautiful Country Ride. The ride will be held Sunday, July 8, 2012, starting at Copley High School, Copley, OH. This ride attracts over three hundred riders of all ages and riding abilities.

The Akron Bicycle Club Presents the 38th annual Roscoe Ramble ride, “One of the most beautiful and scenic rides in Ohio”, this full-service tour covers either 55 or 75 miles of rolling hills per day.  Visits Central Ohio’s unspoiled Amish countryside. Unique food stops include a firestation and an Amish farm for lunch.  Giveaways too. Overnight stay near the Ohio Canal-era village of Roscoe Village in Coshocton. Camping or hotel options.

Circle Cleveland

Circle Cleveland, free – as in beer, fun. Take a lap around Cleveland and experience everything northern Ohio cycling has to offer in one fully unsupported ride. MetroParks west and east through the scenic  Rocky River and Chagrin River Valleys. Urban Lakewood and a spectacular Cleveland lakefront skyline view, Cleveland west and east. Lakefront bike path and stately Bratenahl. Check out the Browns tailgaters as we ride through the stadium bound crowds and smell the last whiffs of everything not vegan.  Not up for 96 miles take the 57 mile shortcut and enjoy the surprising ride right through the middle of an operating steel mill. With a little luck you’ll get to see the rail tanker cars glowing with the fiery metal they are transporting.
