Monday September 6, 2010 100 miles
This is a one hundred mile ride around Medina and into northern Wayne County. The ride starts at Plaza 71 on Rt. 18, just east of I-71, then heads to Brunswick, a rest stop in Valley City, breakfast in Litchfield, ice cream in West Salem, a beautiful ride through the Cedar and Clear Creek Valleys, followed by lunch in Lodi, more ice cream in Seville and Wadsworth, then back to the start. A challenging, fun and do-able ride. Bring money or food for it’s totally Unsupported, but maps are provided.

Enjoy the beautiful fall scenery, cool weather, apple cider and much more!! FFF(FFFF) has been an annual FREE event since 1976. The route is 50 miles with a 28 mile cutoff. included is a map, complimentary cider stop, good company, and places to buy food along the route. FFF(FFFF) starts at the Medina Square. A city ordinance forbids riding on the sidewalks at the square.

A Bi-Cycling Dandy Excuse For Getting Hibernated In January has been an annual event since 1977. The route is set up with 2, 12, and 24 mile loops with Stop-N-Go convenience stores along the way. To be comfortable, you must be prepared for the weather conditions that day! The ride is held regardless of the weather. Personalized participation certificates will be for sale at cost. Starts at the Medina Square.

Kinda Like May’s Nine O‘Clock Picturesque and Quaint Rectangular Spring Tour Undertaken by Very Wishful Xenophobic Young Zealots
This is a free ride of 85 miles around the Firelands area of Ohio. A map is provided, but NO other services are provided. NO sag wagon, NO snack stops, NO closed course, NO first aid cars, NO food. Get the idea? Then come prepared! The route does go through a couple of cities where food may be purchased if you need it. This ride is an old-fashioned self-sufficient ride where riders are expected to be prepared to handle any problem themselves.
Ride of Silence – Peninsula & Cleveland

Peninsula 12-15 miles – Century Cycles and the Medina County Bicycle Club are inviting people to join them in a Ride of Silence in Peninsula, Ohio. That evening, Rides of Silence will be taking place in Cleveland and around the world to honor those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways and to raise awareness of cyclists’ legal rights to share the road with motorists. Cleveland 8-15 miles - Riders will assemble in two locations (downtown near Cleveland City Hall) and the Heights neighborhoods (at Whole Foods Market at the intersection of Cedar and Warrensville Center Rds). Both groups will depart at 6:10pm and ride to University Circle. Along the way, we will pick up additional riders.

This is one sweet, scenic, mostly rural and rolling ride of 62, 42, or 25 miles, with ice cream at rest stops along the way. A great grilled burger and dogs at the end.
